Those are my top 3 soup spots. So why I'm a such a fan of soups? From the Ayurvedic perspective, the best way to keep Vata in balance is to eat warm, well cooked foods, especially this time of year. Soups and stews are often delightfully spiced to facilitate smooth digestion and a great way to get some more veggies in your diet.
What about dessert? For those of you who have a sweet tooth like me, I suggest making yourself Hot Chocolate for dessert.
Hot cocoa recipe -play around with it. Use the unsweetened cocoa, I use maple syrup to make it tasty and add a little nutmeg and cardamon. Have fun with it. Don't skimp on the whipped cream! It is dessert after all. . .
